Bos-Cle-Ind-NYK
Bos
gives: crowder, zeller, smart, rozier, boston 2018 pick, nets 2018 pick
gets: PG13
Cle
gives: kevin love
gets: melo, rozier, boston 2018 pick
Indy
gives: pg13
gets: crowder, smart, lee, nets 2018 pick
NYK
gives: melo, lee
gets: love, zeller
Cleveland gets another scoring option in melo and another point guard
Knicks get rid of melos contract with the potential of a love/kp duo
Indy gets next years pick along with several good players
celtics get pg13 and give up fewer assets
Who says no?
1.) 14 Jun 2017 02:08:58
Boston does because George is too risky as a rental to trade that many quality assets.
26 May 2017 04:32:46
Boston Offseason
Do not Bring Back: Zeller, Johnson, Jackson, Young, Jerebko
Indy - Boston
Indy: George
Boston: Bkn 2018 pick, boston 2018 pick, memphis 2019 pick, crowder, smart, olynyk
Sign Chris Bosh assuming healthy for MLE
Draft Markelle Fultz
Bring Over Yabusele, Zizic
Thomas/fultz
Bradley/rozier
George/Brown
Bosh/Yabusele
Horford/Zizic
Who says no and why? Keep in mind George's stock went down and Crowder is on team friendly contract for the next three years.
Bosh only comes through if no more blood clots.
1.) 26 May 2017 04:43:27
I like it, but i think PG is a Laker. Bring him in for one year would be a high risk.
2.) 26 May 2017 04:58:03
Yeah, i'm assuming that Ainge gets a commitment from George. I doubt the dude wants to be on a losing Laker team, despite him saying he wants to be back in his hometown.
3.) 26 May 2017 05:07:19
I wouldn't take the risk on Bosh. I've already gone through the Len Bias and Reggie Lewis tragedy's . Not going through that again.
4.) 26 May 2017 07:17:24
There is no risk on Bosh. He will get the veteran minimum, not more.
5.) 26 May 2017 12:55:30
Harry, billj wasn't talking about the business aspect. He's talking about the fact that some doctors are telling Bosh if he plays again he might die.
6.) 26 May 2017 13:17:30
I rather have the 2017 pick
Could boston also trow in the Clippers pick and J Brown for Crowder.
1rnd pick Net 18/ Memphis 19/ Clippers 19+ J Brown+ T Zeller.
14 Apr 2017 04:47:54
Boston - Indiana (Assuming George Agrees to Resign)
Boston: Thomas, Brown, clippers pick and memphis pick 2019 + fillers (No brooklyn picks)
Indy: George
Celtics draft fultz, bring over yabu and zizic
Smart/fultz
bradley/FA
crowder/FA
george/yabusele
horford/zizic
this would be a team that would be a couple of vets away from going to the championship. You would have one of the best if not the best defensive lineup in the nba with 4 players being able to guard multiple positions and switch. I think this team beats the cavs. Who says no and why?
1.) 14 Apr 2017 05:07:20
Smart isn't a starting pg in the NBA and having depend on a rookie is risky. Boston's entire offense is predicated on Thomas's ability to penetrate. There is no way they should deal him. I don't think the Pacers would be interested in Thomas either. You would need to find a third team with picks or young players who is trying to win now. It would make more sense for everyone involved to trade the Brooklyn pick rather than Thomas.
2.) 14 Apr 2017 07:20:00
Don't get why Pacers would ever do this. If George agrees to resign then they wouldn't trade him period. Thomas is going to be a FA in 2018 so he isn't that attractive especially to a Pacers team without George. They'd probably be looking to rebuild with young talent and not pay a guy near 30 the 4 or 5 year max contract he'd likely command. As rkenne_16 mentions it makes a ton more sense for Celtics to keep Thomas who gives them another go-to scorer (I agree Smart isn't starting caliber pg and Fultz may be a great scorer one day but I wouldn't want to depend on an unproven 19yr old rookie if I'm looking to compete for a title) and for Pacers to get one of Nets picks instead.
For salary cap reasons it would probably be wise for Celtics to try and keep Brown and deal Bradley instead (he will be a FA in 2018 as will IT, George and Smart) although Pacers would likely prefer Brown for similar reasons and just cause he is younger.
3.) 14 Apr 2017 13:28:01
I never seen a team of a top seed fan base put so many trade rumors on the site. Have a little faith, that is best team in the east. As long Supercollider is alive, Hope C's never win any titles.
4.) 14 Apr 2017 14:15:21
I don't dislike this trade, IT is a great pointguard, only a little to old for a rebuilding team. And That Memphis pick could be good, but i think its top five protected.
Boston should trade PG13 for Fulzz+ Fillers.
Indy can rebuilt around Fullz and Turner
Boston becomes a reall contender.
5.) 14 Apr 2017 17:04:23
If the Celtics can get Paul for that and PG13 agreeing to sign then that would be GREAT! Very doubtful though.
If that trade went through the C's should give those Brooklyn picks and then some to NYK for Porzingis and Lee.
6.) 14 Apr 2017 21:44:04
Shizzee -- Danny Ainge leaves Celtics championship banners for dinner tips.
09 Mar 2017 04:03:41
Boston-Indiana
Bos
- gives up Isaiah thomas, johnson, jerebko
Indiana
- george
Celtics draft fultz
Roster:
smart/fultz
bradley/rozier
crowder/brown
george/KO
horford/zizic
1.) 09 Mar 2017 06:04:14
The Brooklyn pick would have to be added.
2.) 09 Mar 2017 07:57:57
If Pacers were to deal George they'd be wanting young pieces to build around not another guy that could just leave in FA (the only reason they are considering dealing George) . I doubt Pacers would be interested in IT at all. They'd likely prefer some combo of Brooklyn picks, other future picks, Smart, Brown and Crowder. Smart although he'll be a FA in 2018 he would be restricted so they have more control over losing him.
3.) 09 Mar 2017 09:54:37
We would want the Nets pick in this year's draft.
Maybe we would do IT+ Nets pick 2018.
4.) 09 Mar 2017 17:49:52
Any deal involving George in which the Pacers receive major assets in return has to come with the caveat that George agrees to a long-term deal.
5.) 10 Mar 2017 04:59:47
Johnson's an FA, and Jerebko is a bench player. That effectively makes this a Thomas for George deal, which Indiana turns down.
08 Jan 2017 04:41:35
Boston - Chicago
Boston gives up Crowder, Brown, olynyk, young and mickey, Brooklyn 2017 pick selection, memphis 2019 pick
Chicago- butler
Boston - Sac
Sac- DMC
Boston - smart, zeller, johnson brooklyn 2018, boston 2018, LA Clippers 2019 pick, 2 2nd rounders
Sign Larry Sanders for part of mid level exception
Boston
IT/ Jackson
Bradley/ Rozier
Butler/ Green
Horford/ jerebko
Cousins/ Sanders
1.) 08 Jan 2017 07:50:44
Hah Larry Sanders. Butler deal is solid value but Cousins one is a little lacking maybe swap the Brooklyn picks to make it better. Only issue I foresee is it will be costly to resign Thomas, Bradley and Cousins in 2018 (not sure of how many bird years they have) . But that team would be pretty tough and assuming they can resign those guys they'd be a top competitor in the East for awhile especially as they add cheap veterans to the bench in FA.

Bos-Nola
Bos- horford,Terry rozier Memphis pick, laker/sac pick, Boston own pick 2018, Boston 2020 pick
Nola- Anthony Davis, salary dump
This happens assuming nola, gets a 1st rd exit or doesn't make the playoffs
Irving/Larkin
Brown/smart
Hayward/tatum/Nader/ojeleye
Morris/theis/yabu/ojeleye
Davis/baynes
1.) 03 Sep 2017 14:32:43
Theoretically, if New Orleans is trading Davis, they are going full rebuild and aren't going to want Horfords huge contract. They would need to find a third team that could give up either something that NO values or expiring contracts. I also think that Tatum or Brown would need to be involved. The Pelicans are giving up a 2 way super star with MVP potential that is 24 and locked up for 4 years. I.

Celtics Mega Offseason
Celtics convince George to remain with them after the trade (assuming this goes down)
Celtics: Crowder, Zeller, Memphis pick, clipper pick, 2 2nd rounders
Indy - George
Celtics - Bulls
Bulls: Butler
Celtics: smart, rozier, johnson, No 3 pick, and laker/sac/philly pick (whichever it winds up becoming)
pick up Zizic, yabusele contracts
Thomas/jackson
bradley/brown
butler/brown
george/yabusele
horford/zizic
granted this will be a team that will have to pay insane amounts of money for the luxury tax in the years to come but I think they give both cleveland and gsw a run for their money. possible draft selection michael porter jr in 2018 to make this a contending team for the next 6 to 7 years.
Again, assuming george agrees to this, who says no and why?
1.) 19 Jun 2017 23:42:16
Trading for George while trading away enough space to stil sign Hayward makes more sense, but with how much young talent and picks the Celtics have I don't think they should trade for George. There is to much risk and the team may still lose to the Cavs or Warriors.
2.) 20 Jun 2017 16:35:14
I agree with rkenne_16. I think trading for George (and hope he resigns) or Butler and signing Hayward is the better route. But the way I think we should try and go about it is to do what the Cavs did when they resigned LeBron. Draft the player at 3 and then wait until we can trade him. That way we already have enough to sign Hayward (or Griffin who I think would be a better fit) and then trade the player we got at 3 (probably Jackson) as well as players (Smart, Bradley or Crowder; two of them) and future picks.
Have a nice line up of:
Thomas/ Rozier
Bradley/ Free Agent
George/ Brown
Griffin/ Yabusele
Horford/ Zizic.

Boston Championship team: no other way
Indiana: George
Boston: Smart, Crowder, Johnson and Mickey, brooklyn pick this year, next year swap and 2018. If you cannot trade the swap, give up dallas and memphis pick
Sign KD
SIgn Whiteside
Sign Jamal Crawford
Resign Turner
draft thon maker with # 23 if avialable
IT/ rozier
bradley/ crawford
durant/ turner
george/ olynyk
whiteside/ thon maker.
1.) 22 Jun 2016 00:23:08
Thon Maker can not play center yet, too weak, and he can't be 2nd string yet on a championship team.
2.) 22 Jun 2016 01:08:30
Think cavs would be better.
3.) 22 Jun 2016 02:22:01
Bradley on Kyrie and George on Lebron, IT and DUrant on offense, Whiteside cleans up. No way Cavs are better.
4.) 22 Jun 2016 03:29:50
Kyrie will lAugh on bradley you see how he eat klay thompson's defense and he is much taller than bradley. No beef on bradley's defense but kyrie will find ways against anyone.
5.) 22 Jun 2016 20:45:46
George on james not enough if green and Iggy wasn't enough. Green is better defender then George. Then Smith would have best advantage with Thomas guarding him. Plus James and Irving going to eat regardless. If George guard love that's going to really open up for james, Irving, and Smith.
6.) 22 Jun 2016 23:55:41
Ill break it down for you man.
Kyrie will not laugh at bradley. He'll score, but he will work for it. If bradley only got to worry about defense, believe me he will get the job done.
George will similarly, not shut lebron down by any means, but he will do a decent enough job.
Now tell me who the hell will guard IT and KD in the meantime? Who is going to have an easier time on offense?
Cavs offense is lebron isolation or kick out or kyrie isolation take it to the hole. No ways cavs are better man.
One thing i was wrong about was maker for sure. He will need time to develop. got to get a veteran center.

Celtics do this trade in a heart beat.
06 Jun 2017 16:12:27
Celtics never do this in a million years. They can try to pry Hassan Whiteside who is better for much less. Be realistic with your trades. DJ can't spread the floor and is a terrible free throw shooter.
26 May 2017 04:58:03
Yeah, i'm assuming that Ainge gets a commitment from George. I doubt the dude wants to be on a losing Laker team, despite him saying he wants to be back in his hometown.
06 Jan 2017 04:29:46
I think switching crowder for bradley would be better for Celtics. Make that switch and celtics are definitely in.
06 Jan 2017 04:28:40
he is not worth it, even if he does not walk. Too much for a player that will not get boston past Lebron. Nets picks need to be used for a great player: PG13, or Boogie comes time mind
