Love how Spurs give themselves a 1st round draft pick.

I assume you mean a 1st from MIN and NYK going to SAS.

To me, this seems like the Spurs are getting too much from NYK (Knox, 1st and cap space) for Derozan. At this point, I don’t know if he has significant positive trade value at $27.7 mil for two years. He doesn’t shoot three’s, and he is a poor defender, so he doesn’t fit today’s NBA as well.

For MIN, it may be fair, depending on how destructive you think Wiggins is, but I don’t think they do it. MIN is not a free agent destination, win now, or into the lux, so the main reasons a team gives up value for cap relief are not there. They are more likely to find a star they can lock up longterm in the draft, rather than free agency, so I doubt they will trade picks, and simply let Wiggins play the season. Also, $26 mil for two years of Patty Mills is likely a bad contract.

Ummm, Shrink. The New York Knicks doesn't fit today's NBA as well.

What use is Portis to Minnesota? They plan on playing Covington at PF a lot and they already have Towns, Dieng, Vonley, and Bell as big. Plus, Layman will also see time at the 4.
