Miami gets Paul, Denver pick

Charlotte gets Dragic

Okc gets Rozier, Johnson

13 Nov 2019 22:17:44
Rozier for dragic?

13 Nov 2019 10:13:47
Was: CP3

Charlotte: J Wall+ 1rnd pick Denver

OKC: Biyombo+ M Williams+ Monk

13 Nov 2019 13:08:50
trying to figure out why Charlotte would want Wall since they signed Scary Terry.

13 Nov 2019 14:05:16
J Wall is from North Carolina so he could like charlotte
and Charlotte is not a free agent destination

Only two years ago J Wall was a challenger for MVP (top 10 player, top-3 pointguard), His achilles injury is problematic for biggs, but smaller players have a better chance coming back to their old level.
So Charlotte gets an all star for free if he's coming back for 90% and they get a draft pick, so they can develop a young talent if Wall doesn't heal from that injury.

Rozier is only on a three year contract. Wall is out this year, so next year Rozier is only on a two year contract for a reasonable price (38M for 2 years), so Rozier is an interesting player for the 2021 tradedeadline.

13 Nov 2019 14:26:08
So Charlotte trades valuable expiring contracts for arguably the worst contract in the NBA for nothing more than a late 1st round pick.

Yeah, Charlotte might not be a free agent destination, but this destroys any cap flexibility they would have. If I am Charlotte, I need more than a late 1st to do this. Much, much more.

13 Nov 2019 17:14:49
Gasupo, it is really, really hard to trade for someone when their health/ recovery is such an unknown. And then have to pay them $30+ mil on top of that.

13 Nov 2019 18:39:20
Wall is at like 40 million with4 years left and his game is predicated on him being quick. That’s not something people tend to be after an Achilles injury at 30ish.

13 Nov 2019 19:01:18
Fredman - actually, $40+.

Wall is owed $41 million, $44 million, and $47 million (player option year) over the next 3 seasons (not counting this season) .

13 Nov 2019 19:48:21
Hornets best player is a young cheap pg. they should trade for an old expensive one and keep rozier?

02 Nov 2019 16:42:00
Imagine this Warriors decent into madness...

Green gets too much of the load and breaks. He gets a massive suspension.

Kerr can't find a way to keep a positive morale and gets fired mid season.

Curry gets healthy and demands a trade...

Warriors get Rozier, Zeller, Washington, Bridges, Graham, 4 firsts (2020, 2022, 2024, 2026)
***If curry were to ever get traded, Charlotte makes plenty of sense, and is this that terrible of a haul for someone who's making $40M+ And injury prone? They have a nice nest egg to start over after a fun dynasty. They could try to compete with this, green, and Klay... or continue to make moves.

Charlotte gets Curry, Poole, Evans, Spellman, Paschall
***Honeslty, I could see the Hornets and MJ pulling the trigger... if the Warriors ever made Steph available, I think they'd do anything to bring him home. Plus, Curry dominated a dominant West. Imagine him in the East! Although they'd give away so many great assets, the cupboard isn't completely bare.

02 Nov 2019 17:26:46
Both teams turn it down. Curry won’t request a trade this year. Charlotte would have nothing to build around Curry with. The Warriors will likely be good next year.

02 Nov 2019 19:54:04
Kerr getting fired is a joke right? If they went 10-72 he wouldn’t get fired. Just no way, not after going to the Finals so many times in a row and 3 rings.

But yeah, no way GS trades Curry in the next couple years.

02 Nov 2019 13:55:43
Charlotte gets Schroeder, 2020 Denver 1st

Okc gets Waiters, Graham

Miami gets MKG

Hornets get another playmaker and a first for their trouble in giving up Graham. They'll have more flexibility in the backcourt. Schroeder has shown in okc he can start, play off ball, or be a sixth man.

Waiters had some good moments in okc. Currently, he's coming off a team suspension and is a complete unknown. This deal goes down in order for the Thunder to duck the cap, fill their last roster spot, and add an asset in Graham.

Miami gets out of Waiters second year. They also add a defensive wing that should take some responsibility off of Butler's shoulders. They have plenty of scoring without Waiters.

02 Nov 2019 16:56:35
Would rather have Graham than Schroeder if I am Charlotte.

21 Oct 2019 11:55:30
Babysteps, since there may be not much deals before christmas anymore. Detroit wants to free up a roster spot, Charlotte do not intend to resign Biyombo. Mavs a strong force in the middle and a talent 3&D.

Mavs can try to upgrade and send Biyombo and Jackson for Adamas or Drummond and Thomas and a 1st for Hart or Smith.

Detroit: 2nd by Mavs

Charlotte: Lee, Broekhoff, 2nd by Mavs

Dallas: Biyombo, K.Thomas

21 Oct 2019 16:18:44
Biyombo is a bust. Why would Dallas give up 2 players and 2 picks to get him?

20 Oct 2019 16:40:44
Charlotte get: Sabonis and McDermott

Indiana get: Cody Zeller and future first round pick.

21 Oct 2019 08:43:17
no, you made an Indy fan cry.

21 Oct 2019 17:55:53
You made me laugh so hard. You got to be kidding. Sabonis is 10x better than Cody (and I like Cody) .

03 Sep 2019 23:17:05
CHA OKC

CHA get Schroder, Roberson (exp salary filler)

OKC get Batum, 2024 1st top 10 protected

CHA get the better player in Schroder. He scored 5 more points, had more assists while coming off the bench with less minutes. Schroder and Batum both have 2 years left on their contract schroder is 5 years younger and 10 mil cheaper. CHA get better PG depth which they need and they have enough young SG/ SF depth that losing Batum will be ok next year when Roberson expires and they lose him. They also save 10 mil next year in salary.

OKC take on the worse contract and the worse player to add another draft pick to their collection for their rebuild. They can still afford the extra 10 mil next season.

04 Sep 2019 20:42:33
Why give up a future pick when you are still going to be a lottery team. Unless of course, you are getting an all-star. But Schroeder is a bench player so not worth the pick.

17 Aug 2019 01:19:05
Charlotte gets Dragic, Roberson
***Gets rid of the Batum contract and provides a ball handler who could play behind or next to Rozier. Costs a first but helps their payroll start fresh next summer.

Miami gets Paul, Monk, Bacon, Charlotte 2020 first
***They get the guy they've been rumored for ever since he landed in okc. They also get the asset they wanted attached to him. Provides Butler a star to play with.

Okc gets Batum, Winslow, Waiters
***They move Paul without giving up a first. They also get three guys who can been up their depth.

Shai, Schröder
Waiters, Diallo, Burton
Winslow, Ferguson
Gallinari, Bazley, Muscala
Adams, Noel

17 Aug 2019 04:24:06
I think Miami will not give up Winslow on a Paul deal.

17 Aug 2019 12:51:43
Charlotte passes. Pick more valuable than cap space to them.

14 Aug 2019 10:59:05
The Cavaliers get Nicolas Batum, Malik Monk, Bismack Biyombo, Charlotte 2020 1st round pick, 2022 Charlotte lottery protected 1st round pick

The Hornets get Kevin Love & Jordan Clarkson

14 Aug 2019 11:21:34
I'd rather keep Batum and his contract that expires in 2 years, along with 2 1st round picks.

Charlotte isn't going anywhere. Even with a healthy Love. They need to rebuild.

14 Aug 2019 12:11:08
Why give up 2 firsts if you are still going to be a lottery team? That is just a dumb move.

06 Aug 2019 02:10:51
GS: Markkanen, M. Williams, Porter Jr, CHA 2020 1st, CHI 2020 1st

CHI: DLo, W. Cauley-Stein

CHA: Lavine.

06 Aug 2019 15:02:04
GS is getting way too much. Maybe swap the Charlotte first to Chicago? And remove Chicago's first entirely.

That said, the fit of Markkanen and Porter in GS would be great. I don't see the Bulls giving up Markkanen though.

06 Aug 2019 16:48:47
I’d take out Charlotte. Maybe Lavine Porter and 1st for Dlo

White
Dlo
Valentine
Markannen
Gafford

Curry
Lavine
Porter Jr
Green
WCS.

06 Aug 2019 16:58:34
Nvm don’t listen to me that was bad and salaries are wayyy off lol.

04 Aug 2019 01:36:24
CHA/OKC/SAS

Pg Rozier
Sg Derozan
Sf Bridges
Pf Williams
Ce Adams

OKC get Biyombo (exp), Batum & 1st round pick CHA

Pg Paul
Sg Ferguson
Sf Batum
Pf Bazley
Ce Noel

SAS get Gallinari, Monk & 1st from CHA (protected)

Pg Murray
Sg White
Sf Gallo
Pf Aldridge
Ce Poeltl

04 Aug 2019 19:08:53
Not sure if any of the three teams would say yes to this

04 Aug 2019 19:21:27
How does Derozen, Adams and losing 2 first rounders help Charlotte's youth movement? Oh, that's right. It doesnt.

04 Aug 2019 22:31:01
I won’t speak on this deal in regards to the Spurs or the Hornets part, but as far as for Okc’s side, it seems fair enough as long as it is an unprotected 1st from Charlotte.

30 Jul 2019 02:41:11
Okc gets Batum, Felicio, 2 Chicago 1sts (2020, 2022), 2021 Charlotte 1st
***More picks. This bumps them up to a crazy level of assets. Can burn one or two to dump CP3 to Miami now if need be. Target a clean slate in Summer 2021.

Charlotte gets Lavine, Roberson, Dunn
***Batum: gone. Win. They can now start a backcourt of Rozier and Lavine which could be fun. Dunn is a good backup. Dre is $10M in expiring money.

Chicago gets Gallinari, Kidd-Gilchrist, Graham, their 2020 second back from Okc
***They get out of the Felicio deal which was rough. Win. They add a great spacer in Gallinari to open things up for Carter. Win. They also free up enough space to pitch Anthony Davis next summer should he explore free agency. If that doesn't pan out, they have space to bring back Gallinari who's a good fit and still rid themselves of a bad contract.

30 Jul 2019 12:21:51
Not sure why Okc is getting so many 1st rounders here, but Okc would jump on this if Charlotte and Chicago are happy with what they are getting.

30 Jul 2019 12:35:48
Seems like a crowded forward roster with Porter, Markkensen and Gallinari.

Also, never been a big fan of trading 2 lottery picks for a star on an expiring deal thst probably won't resign. Especially since Felicio is only a $8 mil deal. Not that painful to manage under the cap.

29 Jul 2019 02:06:24
Hornets moves

Charlotte/Oklahoma

To Charlotte: Adams/Patterson/2nd round pick

To Oklahoma: Biyombo/Gilchrist/Hernangomez/protected 1st round pick (top 20)

Charlotte/Minnesota

To Charlotte: Wiggins

To Minnesota: Batum

Charlotte give Wiggins a chance to be the main scorer with Rozier while Adams provide stability inside.

Rozier/Wiggins/Bridges/Williams/Adams
Bacon/Graham/Monk/Macura/Washington/Patterson/Zeller

30 Jul 2019 22:44:02
For MIN, I don’t think Wiggins for Batum is unfair, but more unlikely now that Gersson Rosas is President of Basketball Operations.

All his moves this summer have been focused on getting younger players that are on KAT’s timeline.

Out are veterans like Taj Gibson, Luol Deng, Saric (to move up on a rookie), Tyus Jones, Jerry’s Bayless and Derek Rose.

In are guys like Jake Layman, Noah Vonleh, Shabazz Napier, Treveon Graham, Jordan Bell, Jarrett Culver, Nowell and Naz Reid.

I suspect with Wiggins age and friendship with KAT, they will give Rosas a chance to try to reach the talented 24 year old, even at the risk of being stuck on his future salary.

28 Jul 2019 18:24:07
4 team deals are rare and complicated, but here's one I think could be beneficial for all.

Thunder get Hardaway, Zeller, Sexton
***Backcourt of the future could be Sexton and Gilgeous-Alexander. They can get out of Hardaway and Zeller in two years but are useable depth in the meantime.

Cavs get Paul
***I think of the teams we aren't talking for Chris Paul, Cavs make a ton of sense. They have Sexton, Garland, and Delly at the 1. I think Garland is the future. Paul could be a great mentor and open minutes for him. Plus, Love gets a running mate who can stretch the floor. Give up zero picks.

Hornets get Knight
***All about cap space. They walk into next summer armed to make a splash. Charlotte is a great city, and they have Jordan at the helm. They got Rozier this summer and can add to that next summer. Around $60M in expiring between 4 guys they won't be keeping.

Mavs get Thompson, Nader
***Thompson is an expiring deal. Win. Thompson plays the 5 when they have only Marjonavic on the depth chart. Win. Nader is a low cost energy guy who can do the dirty work to keep guys like Doncic and Porzingis healthy. Win.

28 Jul 2019 19:24:48
So the Cavs have 6 guys that can play pg on the roster and they’re 1st goes to Atlanta unless it is top 12. Paul doesn’t really make sense for them at all. Not to mention that Paul as a mentor doesn’t seem like a thing and he’s going to be an even bigger nightmare than normal. If they did want to win, why trade Thompson? He would likely be their third or 4th best player. The biggest thing is the Cavs are giving up expiring contracts and a guy that has value in Sexton. Other teams want picks back just to give up bad contracts for Paul. They’d be extremely lucky to just take back multiple bad 2 year deals for him. Expirings for him would be robbery. Actually getting assets back isn’t going to happen.

28 Jul 2019 20:06:25
You think Paul is going to get OKC a young talent like Sexton? Come on. Unless of course, OKC is tossing in some 1sts to Cleveland.

28 Jul 2019 20:09:50
Paul Ferguson Diallo OKC 2020 1st
For
Randle Payton Ellington Bullock Ntilikina

Knicks are not signing any max free agents anytime soon

Schroder/ Payton/ Ntilikina.

29 Jul 2019 02:07:08
Shizzee, Okc has already given their 2020 1st (lottery protected) .

But I can’t tell, are you trying to make Okc competitive next year or just give them expiring contracts?
Because they don’t want to be cmpetitive next year, in which case it just seems odd for Okc to give away 2 of their young prospects and a draft pick.

29 Jul 2019 04:04:54
Pretty sure he meant Denver's 2020 that OKC owes.

To unload Paul, OKC is going to have to package picks or young players. So decide which you want to package or choose to keep Paul for at least the entire year.

27 Jul 2019 22:13:44
Wolves trade Wiggins, Dieng, lottery protected 2020 1st (top 4 protected in 2021, unprotected in 2022) to Charlotte for Batum and Biyombo.

Minnesota gets cap space each of the next 2 summers. Charlotte takes a chance of Wiggins and gets a future 1st round pick.

28 Jul 2019 19:34:05
I think Charlotte would need another 1st.

30 Jul 2019 13:48:27
MIN needs picks more than future cap space.

25 Jul 2019 09:40:45
NY: B Beal

Charlotte: J Wall+ 1rnd pick Dall 21 and 23+ 2rnd pick Was 2020 and 2022

Was: Batum+ RJ Barrett+B Portis+Ntilikina+ 1rnd pick NY 2020 (top 5 protected in 2020 and 2021)

NY:
C:Robinson/Randle/gibson
PF:Morris/Randle/gibson
SF:Knox/Trier/Bullock
SG:Beal/Ellington/bullock
PG:smith/E Payton

NY can hit the free agentmarktet in 2020, with Beal as trigger to convince a 2nd star.

25 Jul 2019 13:41:27
The wizards don’t have second round picks.

25 Jul 2019 23:35:52
The 2020 and 2022 picks are probably coming from Chicago via Washington.

23 Jul 2019 08:39:57
Chi: B Beal

Char: J Wall+ 1rnd pick Bulls 2020+ 1rnd pick Bulls 22

Was: O Porter+Biyombo+ M williams+ W Carter Jr

Chicago going all in for A Davis next year

J Wall is going home and charlotte can rebuilt, getting extra assets

Washington saves money and can restart with Carter as a building piece

23 Jul 2019 13:49:35
Wizards say no.

19 Jul 2019 04:08:36
Adams is not going to get OKC a young talent AND a lottery pick.

18 Jul 2019 15:53:41
If Thunder wait til December/January, what about something like this:

Okc gets Rozier, Wiggins, Minnesota 2020 1st

Minnesota gets Batum, Chicago 2020 2nd via OKc

Charlotte gets Paul, Roberson

18 Jul 2019 16:00:02
Pay Paul $120+ for 3 years or Batum $52 mil for 2 years? I think Charlotte stays with Batum.

Trying to figure out how OKC gets probably the best (young) player AND the best draft pick. Must be a "homer"

18 Jul 2019 16:08:13
Hornets better hold on to younger Rozier because even with Paul, they are goingnowhere.

15 Jul 2019 22:13:36
Charlotte gets Chris Paul, Gordon Hayward, 2020 Chicago 2nd via okc

Thunder get Nic Batum, Marcus Kidd-Gilchrist

Boston gets Bismack Biyombo, Marvin Williams

Charlotte goes for a high playoff seed in East. Thunder dwindle the contract years. Boston moves on from Hayward, freeing up money for Brown and Tatum.

15 Jul 2019 22:37:06
Do you mean the 8th because even that would be a stretch.

15 Jul 2019 22:59:14
I guess Rozier becomes the highest paid backup PG?

16 Jul 2019 00:32:23
Fredman, dual point guard lineup. Paul at the 1 and Rozier at the 2. They could stagger minutes and share the backcourt.

16 Jul 2019 03:37:06
How about that Marcus Kidd-Gilchrist, hopefully he’s better than his brother Michael.

16 Jul 2019 04:25:15
And who defends against big, strong SGs? The taller one of the two? 6-1 Rozier ain't stopping Derozen type guards. Also, "stagger minutes" translate into "backup".

Also that 2020 draft pick is protected for 31-55. There is no way it is leaving Chicago's possession.

Just not seeing Charlotte taking on the many years of Paul and Heyward when they are just about to be free of Batum, Biyombo, etc. etc. for free.

17 Jul 2019 18:54:16
Derozen is in the west, like everyone else so they won't have to worry about that
